Miles, the Denver Broncos mascot, helps distribute awards to Million Words contest winners at Stedman Elementary
A Million Words, A Million Smiles
707 17th Street, Johns Manville Plaza and the Citadel rewards students for reading
Crescent properties, 707 17th Street, Johns Manville Plaza and The Citadel, rewarded students at their FACES of Change partner school, Stedman Elementary, for winning the Million Word Contest. The contest required students read a million words from the first day of school until mid May. A ceremony was held at Stedman Elementary on May 23rd to present the winners with their certificates. Crescent also presented each winner with a goodie bag. The bags included a specially designed t-shirt and either a compass key chain or flashlight.

The t-shirt's were designed by a Stedman Elementary staff member and illustrated the theme of the contest - "Reach the Summit." The Crescent properties also brought a very special guest to congratulate the students, Miles, the Denver Broncos mascot. Miles gave an enthusiastic high five to each student after they received their certificate and goodie bag. The Million Word Ceremony was a huge success as evident by the endless smiles. Congratulations to the FACES of Change teams at 707 17th Street, Johns Manville Plaza and The Citadel for helping emphasize the importance of reading.
