A Big Red Celebration!
Houston Center celebrates reading at Crockett Elementary with a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog
On Wednesday, March 30, Crescent employees and customers from Houston Center celebrated literature and reading at their FACES of Change partner school, Crockett Elementary. The theme of the day was the beloved children's book character Clifford the Big Red Dog. Volunteers read aloud to children in grades 1-6th with first and second students enjoying stories about Clifford. Students were also treated with a special visit from Clifford himself, played by Property Manager Matthew Kent. Following the read aloud event, Houston Center donated new books for Crockett classroom libraries.

Participating Houston Center customers included; McKinsey & Company, Strasburger & Price, Boudreaux, Leonard, Hammond & Curcio P.C., Caddell & Chapman, Navigant Consulting, Inc., StarTrust Federal Credit Union, TeeKay and Waldenbooks.
In addition to reading aloud and donating books, Houston Center also presented five $25.00 gift cards from Toys'R'Us and four tickets to the HEB Children's Festival valuing $28.00. The prizes will be used as incentive items to help encourage academic success at the school.
Thank you to all the volunteers who participated, and a special thank you to 5 Houston Center's Pamela Andino who coordinated the event. Without the dedication of volunteers like those at Houston Center FACES would not be a success. Together, we are making a positive difference in the lives of children.
