The annual Junior Achievement Bowl-a-thon was held Saturday, August 21, at the Don Carter All Star Lanes in Fort Worth. Crescent had five teams show up to make a strike for education. Holly Ginn, Gwen Golden, Keira Moody, Michelle Lokensgard and Kim Clark stepped up and served as Captains of Crescent teams.

Gwen Golden's team won honorable mention for their lane decoration and Dalania Smith's name was drawn out of the tiki bucket for Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra tickets. Tina Thomas and Gwen Golden both participated in the Elvis impersonation contest, but lost to a Star Telegram employee.

Gwen Golden tapped Investments, Executive, Legal and Communications for her team, and they showed style and flair in their bowling.

IT took time away from SOX to join in the fun, as did New Business Technology's Karen Svoboda. Finance was well represented by Holly Ginn and Kim Clark's teams. Bowling skill was unimportant, but Crescent comeraderie was evident as strikes and spares were cheered by all. The total amount of funds raised is still being calculated.

Recruitment for teaching Junior Achievement in the fall at Nash will get underway shortly, which is one of the programs the bowl-a-thon goes to fund.

Thanks to all who participated, and all who contributed so they could participate!
