The Fort Worth FACES team, Kathy Rosenthal, director of community relations, Stevie Stevens, community relations assistant, and Nicole Capage community liaison, planned the days' activities.

The morning began with a spirited "ice breaking" activity involving making paper hats and verbally discussing the different "hats" that we wear both at Crescent and in our personal lives. As the laughter died down from the hat making fun, the Ft. Worth FACES team updated everyone on recent FACES projects including the new Crescent Community Fund Brochure.

The main function of workshop is to provide FACES facilitators with an opportunity to share their best events with other facilitators. Many remarkable and creative FACES events and ideas were discussed including an aluminum can recycling program that raises money for partner schools, a math oriented board game drive, and a summertime rubber duck party.

Everyone agreed that the best thing about the FACES program is that it gives Crescent team members and customers a chance to make a difference and to participate in something meaningful outside the realm of their normal responsibilities. Many facilitators also commented that their participation in the program represents Crescent well to customers and the community. Everyone enjoyed sharing and contributing ideas.

Special thanks to Randy Carnival, director of property management who attended and graciously hosted the event, and to Cathy Purcell, administrative assistant at Regency Plaza for coordinating the meeting space and luncheon. The Best Practices Workshops have proven to be a wonderful way open new lines of communication and energize the FACES of Change programs regionally. We're already looking forward to next year's Denver workshop!
